Privacy Policy

RangeBaron (“we,” “us”) is a personal day-trading momentum scanner, charting tool, and trading journal. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. By using RangeBaron you agree to this policy.

We collect only what’s needed to provide the app:

• Account information. Your email address and authentication details, handled by our auth provider (Supabase).
• Data you enter. Trades, expenses, watchlists, and account balances you record in the app.
• Connected brokerage data. If you link a brokerage account through SnapTrade, we receive read-only account balances, holdings, and transaction history to power your net worth and journal.

When you connect a brokerage, you authenticate directly with your brokerthrough SnapTrade’s secure hosted interface. We never see, collect, or store your brokerage username, password, or MFA codes. We store only an encrypted access token that grants read-only access — never trading permission. That token is encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and is never exposed to your browser.

We use your data solely to provide RangeBaron’s features to you — displaying your scanner, charts, journal, portfolio, and net worth. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

We rely on a small set of vetted providers, each acting on our behalf:

• Supabase — authentication and database storage.
• SnapTrade — brokerage account aggregation (see the SnapTrade Privacy Policy).
• Massive / Polygon — market data.
• Netlify and Fly.io — hosting and the data worker.

Data is stored in a Postgres database protected by row-level security so each user can access only their own rows. Aggregator tokens are encrypted at rest; server secrets are never bundled to the browser; all traffic is served over HTTPS. We apply least-privilege, read-only scopes to connected accounts.

You control your data. Disconnecting a brokerage revokes access at the provider and deletes the stored token. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at rangebaron@gmail.com.

We use only essential cookies required to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

RangeBaron is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
